About Amanda-Jayne

I started baking when I was a little girl, in the kitchen with my mother I picked up hints and tips along the way that her mother gave to her. I have a very fond memories of making mince pies each Christmas, something I still do to this day with my own boys.

I have always baked for pleasure and In 2011 my eldest son turned one and did what most parents do, I baked his first birthday cake! With a lot of help from the internet, (thank goodness for You Tube) and Betty Crocker, a dinosaur cake was born. After this, the baking bug bit me and I started to make cakes for friends and family. I quickly taught myself lots of techniques including how to make sugar flowers and models.

In 2014 instead of returning to my previous career in hotel hospitality, I decided to take the plunge and register my kitchen with Salisbury District Council and obtain all the relevant paperwork to start my cake business. Rest assured I now bake and make all my cakes, fillings and icing from scratch!

In 2018 I entered into Cake International in Birmingham, the worlds largest cake competition.  I was awarded a Certificate of Merit for my wedding cake design.

I truly am very lucky to now have a successful cake business and to be able to design the most beautiful edible art for your special occasion.
